The BR&T (Boeing Research & Technology) Program Support organization is seeking an Electrical Parts, Materials and Processes Engineer to support development, production, and post-production aircraft and weapons programs located in Berkeley, Missouri.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate, Mid-Level and Senior engineers.
This position will support MQ-25, T-7, F-15, F/A-18, AV-8, T-45, and F-22 aircraft; Harpoon, SLAM-ER, JDAM, and SDB weapon systems; and Proprietary platforms. A successful candidate will have expertise and experience with microelectronics and component engineering technology and applications, as well as knowledge of electrical and electronic materials and processes.
This position will be responsible for performing aspects of the PM&P statement of work. Typical team tasking includes review and approval of engineering drawings; maintaining process specifications and standard part drawings; performing root cause corrective actions; supporting non-conformance dispositions, CAR’s and NOE’s; performing supplier, equipment, material and part qualifications; supporting supplier and in-house fabrication and assembly operations; addressing standard part shortages and substitutions; monitoring and resolving part obsolescence and supporting program DMSMS procedures; managing counterfeit parts avoidance processes; and implementing process and safety improvements.
Position Responsibilities:
Applies engineering knowledge of electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical components in evaluation and selection for assembly and subassembly design
Creates and revises standard part drawings and process specifications
Performs subcontractor and supplier part qualifications
Supports electrical manufacturing assembly in house and at supplier locations, both domestic and international
Conducts failure analysis and root cause corrective action to resolve quality non-conformances
Recommends new and alternate electrical components for new product development and legacy programs
Forecasts and monitors part obsolescence using tools and techniques such as third-party monitoring software, supplier surveys, etc., and provides status reports to program and government customers (Navy, Air Force, DoE, etc.)
Reviews and assists in the implementation of DoD parts management program requirements, ensures the integrity and appropriate use of parts per application requirements
Implements EEE counterfeit part prevention programs and procedures
Represents Boeing at industry committees and represents St. Louis site/programs at Boeing enterprise Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) meetings
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Berkeley, MO office.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
2+ years of experience with electrical engineering
2+ years of experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Active U.S. Secret Clearance
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
Experience with program Parts, Materials and Processes control plans
Experience in electrical component and assembly engineering
Experience working on defense and/or aerospace programs
Experience supporting manufacturing operations
Experience with military and industry standards
Experience with parts obsolescence monitoring and resolution
Able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary organization, including application of engineering judgment to balance requirements, risks, and costs, and be able to negotiate effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Associate (Level 2):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Mid-Level (Level 3):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior (Level 4):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for associate: $77,350 - $104,650
Summary pay range for mid-level: $95,200 - $128,800
Summary pay range for senior: $116,450 - $157,550
