Job Title: Electro-mechanical TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong understanding of basic electronic components, circuit behavior, and troubleshooting principles. The position involves hands-on work with electronic assemblies, testing, diagnostics, and component-level repairs. Candidates will be required to complete a technical knowledge assessment covering fundamental electronics concepts such as logic gates, diodes, LEDs, transistors, resistors, capacitors, and circuit analysis.
Responsibilities- Assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuits and components such as diodes, transistors, resistors, capacitors, LEDs, and logic circuits.
- Perform component-level diagnostics using multimeters, power supplies, and other bench equipment.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and component datasheets.
- Identify and replace faulty components.
- Perform soldering and rework on through-hole and surface-mount components.
- Document test results, repairs, and configuration changes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to resolve technical issues.
Essential Skills- Strong understanding of logic gates (AND, OR, NOT, NAND) and their operation.
- Proficiency in diode operation, including forward and reverse bias.
- Familiarity with LED characteristics and typical forward voltage.
- Ability to identify transistor types (NPN, PNP, FET) and their terminals.
- Understanding of resistor networks and Zener diode applications.
- Knowledge of capacitor functions, including AC coupling and DC blocking.
- Awareness of temperature-sensitive components like thermistors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Ability to measure current, voltage, and resistance using a multimeter.
- Understanding of short-circuit behavior and ability to interpret component color codes.
- Familiarity with basic circuit operation and transistor switching thresholds.
- Proficient soldering and de-soldering skills.
- Ability to identify components by symbol and appearance.
- Comfortable working with small components and fine-pitch assemblies.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
