What does this role look like?

Lockheed Martin is looking for a dynamic, hardworking Electrical Engineering Senior Manager to support the Strategic Reentry Programs Classified Portfolio across multiple sites (e.g. Denver, CO and Valley Forge, PA.




Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

As an Electrical Engineering Senior Manager, you will:
• Lead Electrical Engineering efforts including technical direction, planning, tools, training, and staffing
• Manage Electrical resources during Reentry Program life cycle including proposal support, trade studies, and program execution for all Advanced Strategic Programs (ASP) and Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Reentry programs
• Ensure staffing tool (e.g. VEMO) is accurate for Electrical Engineering resources
• Provide inputs to and ensure compliance with major program reviews including System Requirements Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, and Mission Success Reviews
• Provide hardware documentation compliant with customer requirements and LM Space Best Practices and Common Integrated Process System (CIPS) requirements
• Drive timely releases of engineering products to support program schedules
• Encourage open communication, customer satisfaction, and timely program status updates
• Develop vision for Electrical Engineering organization within Strategic Reentry and incorporating LM Space E&T strategies for continuous digital transformation
• Lead a team of Electrical Engineering managers to develop and execute the vision for Mechanical Engineering within Strategic Reentry
• Contribute to the vision and implementation of the LM Space E&T Electrical Engineering Talent center
• Ensures the Strategic Reentry Elec Eng leaders’ ownership of critical skills development and maintaining the Critical Skills matrix
• Engage with program leaders and ASP & FBM Reentry Chief Engineers in the planning, proposal, staffing, technical baseline, cost, and schedule execution of programs
• Ensure due diligence of all Electrical Engineering labor estimations for ROMs and proposals
• Engage with the Electrical Engineering Talent Center for skills that are badged outside of the Strategic Reentry team (e.g. FPGA/ASIC, RF)
• Some travel may be required

• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance, thus you are a US Citizen.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience managing engineers including performing hiring, performance management including training, mentoring, and performance assessments.
• Experience managing a team of engineers in order to meet cost, schedule and performance of a technical task/program.
• Experience with the design and development of flight systems.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting high-reliability electronic circuits.
• Experience as a Responsible Product Engineer Engineer program or equivalent responsible product engineer program.
• Experience with Design and Integration of aerospace hardware
• Experience in engineering project management including Basis of Estimates (BOEs), Proposals, and cost and schedule tracking
• Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience as a Lockheed Martin Certified Principal Engineer program or equivalent responsible product engineer program.
• Reentry Vehicle and/or Missile and/or aerospace related experience
• Experience in failure investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action disposition of aerospace hardware
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Control Account Management (CAM) experience
• Development program experience
• Risk and opportunity experience with an understanding of continuous improvement concepts
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with a wide range of personalities and capabilities

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $140,400 - $269,100 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
