None/Not RequiredAre you passionate about uncovering the root causes of complex engineering issues and driving innovation in electronic systems? This position, based in Rockford, Illinois, specializes in failure analysis, process control, and electronic design analysis.
As part of the Materials and Process Engineering group, you will lead critical investigations into electronic component failures, and ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of high-impact technologies through design and process optimization. Your work will involve analyzing failures, improving process controls, supporting design verification, and collaborating across Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain functions. With a strong focus on electronics packaging, component testing, and design analysis, this role plays a key part in strengthening product integrity and driving continuous improvement across the organization.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Working knowledge of electronic component manufacturing, packaging design, and process control methods, with experience supporting design reviews and verification testing.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and supplier teams to resolve issues, drive improvements, and align technical goals.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
