 Enjoy working with a team of talented engineers shaping the Navigation, Flight Guidance and Sensing products of the future. Be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex software functions within Honeywell Aerospace - Sensing, Guidance and Navigation (SG&N)

You will be instrumental in designing, planning and coordinating work teams, as well as providing technical support. You will also generate innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Full Software Product Design Lifecycle (Requirements, design, architecture, implementation, integration, testing, release, and continuous feedback)
  • Full lifecycle development of navigational solutions via embedded real time safety critical software.
  • Embedded systems development in C/C++, Python, and scripting languages
  • Real-time embedded software development proficiency
  • Hardware and software debug with lab equipment (Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, etcu2026)
  • Verification, Validation, test plan creation, and peer reviews
  • Software and Algorithm development skills
  • Feature Definition and Design Tradeoffs

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

 Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • Embedded real-time software development experience. 
  • Interest or experience in high-rigor software development (aerospace, medical devices, automotive, industrial, etc)
WE VALUE
  • Wide degree of creativity, latitude, and interest in learning new thing
  • Previous experience with embedded systems, real time systems development, IoT devices, serial communications, hardware / software debugging, reading schematics
  • Embedded systems development using C/C++ and/or ADA
  • Knowledge of software configuration management, change management and DevOps automation practices
  • Experience with any of the following is a benefit - e.g. Matlab, Simulink, LabView, Python, Greenhills, Vitis, VHDL FPGA, PPC, ARM assembly, Math Modeling, DO-178B/C DAL-A process, RM tools (DOORS, etc.)
  • Understanding various software development lifecycles (e.g. Waterfall, Kanban, Scrum)
