Job Description:

As an Eng Tech II here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for supporting engineering teams in the design, development, and testing of various products and systems. You will assist in the creation of technical documentation, perform tests and experiments, and help troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful completion of engineering projects.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our engineering processes, contributing to the development of innovative solutions that meet our customers needs. You will play a key role in supporting the engineering team, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and Control complex project execution within budget hours and completed before desired completion date.
  • Supervise and administrate resources for assigned projects, ensuring on time, on budget (hours) completion.
  • Establish direct communication with customer across Engineering and ISC to propose solutions to drawing and technical issues.
  • Build / fabricate / repair Test Equipment in the eFab (Electronic Fabrication group), as well as build / repair / mod red-label avionics products. On site support and troubleshooting.
  • Apply applicable Honeywell QA procedures / methods.
  • Create the conditions to enable effective working teams.
  • Coordinate and administrate resources for assigned projects, ensuring on time, on budget (hours) completion.
  • Anticipate timely actions on important potential risks (technical).
  • Accurately report project progress to internal project administrator.
  • Support quoting process for labor and lead time for fabrication.
  • Execute projects according to plans to ensure that risks are mitigated, and opportunities are realized.
  • Establish professional relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Drawing/BOM validations.
  • Expertise on database management to follow up and assure PN reception by having communication with ESS as required.

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Must have Technician diploma in Electronics or equivalent, incomplete BS Degree in Engineering (electronics or equivalent) or 10+ years of experience in electronic product fabrication (e.g. Cables, harnesses, control / test boxes, aerospace industry desirable).
  • Industry environment knowledge.
  • Strong ability to read fabrication drawings.Ability to train and mentor peers.
  • Analysis experience with mil standards and aerospace industry components is a must.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to communicate in English with minimum assistance.
