Job Description SummaryThe Advanced Technologies Organization at GE Aerospace is inventing the future of flight through an unprecedented suite of commercial technology demonstrators in order to pave our way to a more sustainable future. This position is for an Evendale-based fluid system engineer supporting these RISE demonstrator programs.

You will be responsible for defining and managing system requirements that pertain to supplier-designed fluids hardware (fuel, oil, pneumatic), starting from initial concept through design, development, and validation and culminating in a product vision. The position requires you to execute system and component analyses, coordinate within a multi-disciplinary team, and validate the design through testing.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team which is both domestic and global, and both GE-badged and non-GE badged
  • Manage hardware through the design process, from initial concept through design, development, and validation
  • Ensure the hardware and system meet the engine and aircraft needs by leveraging a cross-functional team of design engineering, quality engineering, supply chain, and program leadership
  • Steer supplier efforts, including both technical design and programmatic aspects
  • Actively participate in GE-internal and supplier design reviews
  • Coordinate with senior technical leadership on critical component design parameters
  • Complete necessary analyses and evaluations of proposed designs by adhering to business standards and design guidelines
  • Communicate and present analyses and decisions to technical and program leadership
  • Utilize lean tools to efficiently and effectively execute on concurrent projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college
