We have an exciting opening for Engineering Coordinator, Apodaca, N.L. México.This position is responsible for the continuous improvement of the plants manufacturing processes, developing and documenting new processes, developing and documenting necessary tools in the process, creating FMEA processes, supporting the production team and leading high-performance teams. The position serves as a leader in machining processes, as well as a leader of the maintenance team, responsible for the purchase of machinery and equipment necessary for the establishment of the divisions machining area, hiring and training of necessary personnel, as well as the establishment of new processes as required within the divisions strategy.
Your main responsibilities
- Lead pilot runs and PPAP documentation; own process documentation, document control, FMEA creation/review, and engineering change proposals.
- Design, implement, and control manufacturing tooling and equipment; program CNC/honing/grinding; and commission/start up machining, assembly, and test equipment (CNC, lathes, test benches, etc.).
- Analyze and optimize cell capacity; reorganize and standardize manufacturing cells applying industrial engineering and safety best practices.
- Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives (Six Sigma/Kaizen), targeting TIBs, throughput, utilization, and efficiency.
- Manage Safety Gensuite, close findings, mitigate risks; conduct Layered Process Audits to ensure quality and safety systems function effectively.
- Lead industrial maintenance and automation in the machining area; prepare production performance reports (standards, utilization, efficiency).
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or similar
- Master’s degree in productivity and quality desirable
- Lean Six Sigma
- 5 years of engineering
- Knowledge of Okuma, Sunnen, Acubore, Hass, and other similar control systems.
- Programming in Edgcam, Mastercam
- Design and redesign of processes
- Fluent English
