Target salary range: $85,000 - $115,000.00
The Engineering Manager leads a team of Manufacturing Engineers to drive process improvement, ensure production readiness, and deliver successful execution of new and legacy aerospace manufacturing programs.
Responsibilities:
Lead engineering efforts to optimize manufacturing processes, support new product introductions, and ensure sustained production excellence.
Leadership & Team Oversight
- Direct and mentor Manufacturing Engineers to meet schedule, cost, and delivery goals
- Assign tasks, manage workloads, and provide technical guidance to engineering staff
- Promote collaboration across Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
Process & Project Management
- Oversee the design and refinement of manufacturing and product development processes
- Lead engineering contributions for new product development (NPI) and existing product optimization
- Manage engineering project logistics, resource planning, and schedule tracking
- Monitor and report critical milestones to senior leadership and stakeholders
Technical & Operational Excellence
- Drive improvements in machining, CNC programming, tooling, and 5-axis/multi-axis operations
- Evaluate and implement capital equipment investments for engineering and production needs
- Support cost management, process sustainability, and waste reduction strategies
- Ensure all processes comply with quality and safety standards
Cross-Functional & External Engagement
- Interface with suppliers, customers, and attend trade shows/site visits
- Communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical audiences
- Support ERP and CAD/CAM integration efforts for manufacturing efficiency
Qualifications:
- Federal Law requires U.S. Citizenship
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (strongly preferred)
3–5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a production environment
3+ years in an engineering leadership or management role
Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing, including machining, CNC programming, tooling, and production support
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, and related productivity tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with 5-axis/multi-axis CNC machining
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and ERP systems
Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (AS9100) and compliance practices
Demonstrated success in project management, cost control, and capital justification
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and use of computer and communication tools
Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs and physical activity on the production floor
Ability to wear required PPE: safety glasses, ear protection, safety shoes
