Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for an Engineering Product Lifecycle Senior Manager (Level L) to join our team in Huntington Beach or El Segundo, California.
We are seeking a dependable and highly skilled leader to manage the Configuration and Data Management activities for the Proprietary, Autonomous & Maritime Programs within the Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) Division. Additionally, the leader will serve as the SI&WS Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Project Leader for the deployment of Integrated Product Data Management (IPDM) for the El Segundo site. This role requires transformational leadership to drive continuous improvement in PLM processes and tools within a regulated engineering data environment. The successful candidate will collaborate across organizational boundaries to ensure data quality, optimize tool performance, and support manufacturing, engineering, and customer commitments.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team responsible for supporting the Proprietary, Autonomous & Maritime Programs
SI&WS PLM Project leader for the deployment of IPDM in El Segundo collaborating with the Program, IT, Enterprise PLM and Siemens
Develop and implement organizational and technical strategies to enhance team, process and tool performance
Provide education, coaching, and guidance on PLM processes and tools to internal teams and external partners
Collaborate with Enterprise PLM and IT teams to advocate for site and division needs
Manage relationships with internal and external suppliers, customers, and stakeholders
Oversee process documentation and ensure compliance with engineering data standards and export control regulations
Lead process improvement initiatives to minimize disruptions and enhance operational efficiency
Will use strong problem-solving, data analysis, and evidence-based decision-making skills on a daily basis
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
10+ year of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of manager experience leading engineering teams
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Configuration Management systems, Change Management, and PLM Processes and Tools
Working knowledge of the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Sanctions Controls
Experience in a role that required teaming and collaboration skills, and ability to work well with a geographically dispersed cross-functional and matrix team
Strong planning, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Experience in applying continuous improvement tools and techniques
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with specific PLM tools such as TeamCenter/IPDM, NX, CATIA, VisMockup, REDARS, or similar
Familiarity with engineering data management and integration across multiple systems
Experience with business transformation coordination resulting from major process or system changes
Prior experience in aerospace or defense industries
Experience in both Data and Product architecture with PLM tools

Summary pay range: $165,750 - $224,250
