Responsibilities:
- Evaluate supplier quality systems and performance, focusing on compliance with ISO 9001:2015 or AS9100D standards.
- Provide Quality Assurance oversight for subcontractor/supplier product procurement and hardware acceptance.
- Review and process Material Requests (MRs), Purchase Orders (POs), and Statements of Work (SOWs) to ensure appropriate quality provisions are applied in alignment with contractual terms.
- Conduct Source Inspections at supplier sites, including First Piece Inspections (FPI), Acceptance Testing, and product verification per Technical Data Packages (TDP).
- Audit and approve FPI reports, Acceptance Test Plans (ATP), and Acceptance Test Reports (ATR) for technical accuracy and compliance.
- Support supplier QMS certifications or perform on-site quality system audits and evaluations when certifications are not available.
- Maintain and manage the Approved Supplier List (ASL).
- Interpret and apply manufacturing standards including AWS/GDLS welding standards, MIL, SAE, DIN, and ANSI specifications.
- Assist in the disposition of nonconforming material through deviation/MRB processes.
- Generate and present monthly performance metrics and periodic quality reports.
- Perform additional Quality Assurance duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of relevant experience; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred (experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, including GD&T and full Engineering TDPs.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and/or AS9100D standards.
- Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) processes and nonconformance management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Exposure to Oracle Applications, Teamcenter, and TIPQA platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication across all organizational levels.
