Job Description:

Description:• Direct and manage contracts which support the ESH organization, including hazardous waste management and disposal, environmental assessments, permitting, and emergency response activities.
• Ensure compliance to US EPA TSCA 5(e) regulations for the commercialization of new chemicals.
• Manage safety testing of new chemicals through international regulatory processes.
• Manage site’s safety committee and its safety-related approvals, investigations, and initiatives.
• Promote ESH culture by driving various ESH performance improvement initiatives and employee engagement activities.
• Build effective relationships and trust with key stakeholders and business partners to drive program enhancements and support the development and reporting of metrics and performance data.
• Manage the site’s ESH management system elements and support development and reporting of metrics and performance data.
• Assure compliance with applicable ESH regulatory, corporate, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate implementation of MFC and Corporate ESH assessment and recordkeeping programs.
• Support emergency and response operations through assistance and oversight to staff during response activities, driving post-incident investigation and corrective action activities, and as a member of the Emergency Operations Command team.
• Support management of the ESH organization’s expense and capital budgets.
• Coordinate with other MFC locations and represent the facility in working groups or new initiatives.
• Work independently and as part of a functional team to resolve issues.
• Support review of existing process and facilities to identify EHS issues.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree, or similar related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Strong understanding of environmental and occupational safety and health requirements in manufacturing, research, and development (R&D), and operations.
• Experience developing and maintaining environmental, safety and health programs in compliance with governing regulations.
• Experience with Program and Team Leadership.
• Proficient with computer-based tools and applications (Microsoft Office business programs).
Desired Skills:
• Experience reporting to and interfacing with Massachusetts and Federal environmental and safety regulatory agencies.
• Previously demonstrated leadership experience of a small group or team.
• Previous experience planning and allocating tasks and workload across a team.
• Knowledge of and experience with ESH management system elements, such as ISO 14001/45001
• Ability to make difficult decisions, solve complex issues and influence ESH cultural improvement.
• Ability to respond to internal and external issues to maintain regulatory compliance and enhance the employee experience.
• Experience authoring command media and program documentation.
• Experience in change management and planning activities as they relate to ESH integration and considerations.
• Application of continuous improvement tools and techniques knowledge including thorough root cause analysis and mistake-proofing processes.
• Experience with writing/managing chemical hygiene plans.
• CSP certification a plus

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
