Equipment Engineer (d/f/m) Eurofighter Electronic Warfare

Our team is responsible to develop sensor equipment solutions for the Eurofighter within national as well as multi-national projects supporting the overall product life cycle: starting with technology and research projects, feasibility studies and system definition phases, development, integration and qualification tasks and finally to support the introduction to customer fleet.

We are looking for a highly motivated engineer to strengthen our team to support the upgrade of the Eurofighter’s Defensive Aids system.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Analyse program initiatives, customer requirements, new technologies and available products to enhance Eurofighter sensor systems
  • Support Eurofighter Avionics architecture and system design activities
  • Derive and define functional, non-functional, performance & procedural requirements for the sensor system & negotiate with the respective Equipment supplier
  • Give guidance and plan for derived design, development, qualification & integration activities together with the Equipment supplier
  • Review and approve Equipment supplier documentation and attend related technical milestones
  • Manage and support to have the best product fulfilling customer requirements in time, cost & quality

Desired skills and qualification
  • Bachelor/Master in Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Knowledge about Radar and/or Electronic Warfare complex electronic hardware and technology
  • Understand operational usage of systems within military environment and derived Weapon System and Avionics architecture
  • Knowledge about Eurofighter Weapon System and Avionics is an advantage
  • Knowledge and experiences about how to develop and integrate Equipment as part of a complex Weapon System is an advantage
  • Knowledge and experiences about product safety, product certification process and/or hardware/software development processes is beneficial
  • Fluent German and English
  • Eager to work in international projects and as part of an interdisciplinary team
