We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Experienced Learning Experience Designer to join our Digital Learning Team. In this role, you will design and develop digital learning solutions for maintenance and pilot training, focusing on creating effective and engaging learner experiences. You’ll collaborate with a supportive team to deliver innovative learning journeys that make a real difference.

Hiring details:

  • This requisition is based in Welwyn Garden City. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

  • This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Position responsibilities:

  • Designing end-to-end learning experiences across modalities (digital distance learning and instructor led training), from analysis through implementation and evaluation

  • Creating course assets: storyboards, interactive digital learning modules, facilitator guides, assessments, microlearning, job aids, and performance support materials

  • Translating SME knowledge (aircraft systems, procedures, regulations) into accurate, accessible learning that matches learner needs and audiences

  • Collaborating with SMEs, instructors, content developers, product managers, and delivery teams to ensure instructional integrity and technical accuracy

  • Applying evidence-based learning science and instructional design methods (scenario based learning, deliberate practice, spaced retrieval, formative and summative assessment) appropriately for the learning goal

  • Prototyping, testing, and iterating digital learning concepts focused on usability, engagement, accessibility, and measurable outcomes

  • Using learning analytics and learner feedback to evaluate effectiveness and refine learning materials

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 4+ years’ experience designing learner experiences and journeys

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in learning design, learning science, instructional design, or educational field

  • Experience using quantitative and/or qualitative research methods

  • Previous Learning Experience Design (LxD) or User Experience Design (UX) background

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate difficult concepts and processes using clear and simple language and visuals

  • Demonstrated consistent delivery on commitments - great organizational skills with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail

  • Innovative and proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise integrity and sound judgment in complex and ambiguous situations
