Boeing India Engineering is currently looking Experienced Structures Design Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, Karnataka. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) and Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organizations.
A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration and shall work with the Engineering Manager, Project lead & Aerospace Mechanical Design and Systems expert to develop or optimize the designs, engineering process, analyze the supplier quality issues, support the development
of cutting-edge technologies and digital initiatives.
Position Responsibilities:
➢ To support the aircraft structural design, development, Engineering Quality issues during manufacturing, configuration management (Product Data Management), CAD modeling and Drafting of part and assembly drawings.
➢ Create / Update /Review the CATIA based drawings based on final agreed design changes and approved Boeing design standards.
➢ Perform configuration changes using the PDM
➢ Independently plan, schedule and perform QC check and guide the team. In this role, the engineer is responsible for the first-time quality and on time delivery of their team.
➢ This position will be responsible for coordinating and communicating regularly with team members in Boeing organizations and shall provide periodic update on project progress, quality metrics, project summaries, and other related documents.
➢ Perform independently or with very limited guidance from Boeing team.
➢ Should be flexible to work, to meet project targets.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
➢ Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or equivalent disciplines
➢ 8+ Years of relevant Work experience in structure design.
➢ Knowledge of structural design, mechanical design, material properties, awareness of Industry standards for structural and mechanical design is essential.
➢ Knowledge of CAD Tools (CATIA, NX) for Modeling, Drafting & Model Based Definition is essential.
➢ Experience in material selection & related processes (finishing and heat treatment) specifications is essential.
➢ Experience in aerospace drawing interpretation, creation and review.
➢ Perform with positive attitude and highest ethics.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
➢ Experience in design of various aircraft structural components.
➢ Must Have skills: Aero structure design knowledge (Wings, Fuselage, empennage), Aerospace standards, Primary and secondary structures, Material selection and properties, Good understanding of Fasteners- selections & applications, Manufacturing methods, coatings & finishes, drawing interpretation, drawing creation & review.
➢ Experience in investigating manufacturing issues and provide effective engineering solution. Prior experience in repair and concessions will be preferable.
➢ GD&T, Tolerance stack up analysis, DFMA
➢ Good knowledge on aircraft certification process.
➢ Tool knowledge: Expert level competency in Enovia, PDM, Catia V5 (Part design, assembly, GSD, Drawing creation, MBD etc.)
➢ Experience on Boeing tools and standards will be preferable.
➢ Experience quality checking procedures and best practices. Have high focus on the quality of deliverables.
➢ Able to independently work or lead the group of engineers, able to perform planning estimation and scheduling.
➢ Experience of independently developing designs using CAD Tools (CATIA primarily) for Modeling, Drafting.
➢ Able to perform independently or with limited guidance from Boeing SME.
➢ Perform with positive attitude and highest ethics.
Typical Education & Experience:
➢ Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 8+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+ 7+ years related work experience etc.)

➢ RELOCATION BENEFITS IF INDICATED ARE LIMITED TO IN-COUNTRY MOVES AND ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR OVERSEAS RELOCATION. THERE IS NO EXPATRIATE PACKAGE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS POSITION.
