Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Space Analysis and Experimentation Team in the Virtual Warfare Center has a need for a creative and highly-motivated Experienced Systems Engineer who is interested in working challenging problems at the front end of the business by developing and exercising Modeling and Simulation (M&S) tools to support detailed analysis in Seal Beach, CA or Colorado Springs, CO.
The ideal candidate, a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment independently without direct supervision, and with a distributed team to develop end products. Excellent oral and written communication skills are desired. Experience with spacecraft design, spacecraft operations, high fidelity spacecraft simulations and space situational awareness is a plus. And working knowledge of mission level analysis tools, such as STK or other simulation tools desired.
Position Responsibilities:
Deliver customer focused constructive analysis and modeling and simulation to address a variety of capability gaps within the Space Superiority mission area
Lead and oversee execution of efforts to include planning, scoping, development, testing, analysis, implementation, schedule development and reporting
Develop new and modify existing Modeling and Simulation M&S tools using MATLAB, STK, AFSIM or other simulation tool
Exercise critical thinking and innovative problem solving, and develop recommendations based on data analysis
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Travel may be required up to 10 of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
3+ years of work related engineering experience
Working knowledge of MATLAB
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $97,750 - $141,450
