As a Sustainment Support Specialist, your day to day duties will ensure our Lockheed Martin products are ready when are customer needs them, provide the best possible outcomes by using analytic driven solutions, and lower operating cost through dynamic data driven problem solving.

A Sustainment Support Specialist will perform:

Daily actions, no matter how small or large, play a critical role to ensure our Nation’s security is ready for threats near or far.

- High level problem solving with real-world implications
Using advanced analytics will provide insights into global supply inventories for LM products across the world. This data will ensure that parts are located, deployed, and secured on the flight line when our customers need them.

- Reliability and Maintainability measures
Forecasting maintenance using predictive health data, minimizing unscheduled downtime, reducing operating costs and keeping our products airworthy.


Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a full-time Early Career F-16 Sustainment Modification and Retrofit Engineer. In this role, you will analyze Engineering retrofit design and Air Force Technical Order data in conjunction with other Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company (LM Aero) computer systems to translate drawings into specification compliant Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) and modification kits. You will help with development of modification task analysis on retrofit proposals, develop initial retrofit plans to identify required TCTOs, kits, level of accomplishment, modification man-hours, out of service time, modification location, modification installation tooling, consumable material requirements, operational checkout requirements and develop plans for rate installation of the mods.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will collaborate with our team to deploy advanced analytics for predictive health, enabling precise forecasting of maintenance actions and informing supply requirements. By implementing enhanced reliability, diagnostics, and new technologies, you will contribute to minimizing unscheduled maintenance, ensuring the highest level of system reliability for our customers. Furthermore, your knowledge of design principles will be beneficial in optimizing aircraft maintenance planning and execution, leading to improved mission readiness and fleet availability. Additional responsibilities include:

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, integrate, test, and sustain complex systems and solutions for aerospace and defense applications.
- Perform system modeling, simulation, and analysis to ensure the performance, reliability, and safety of developed systems.
- Implement innovative technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement to field performance.

Position will occasionally require domestic or international travel.

This position is physically located in Fort Worth, Texas. Working from the office is required more than 50 of the time.

Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Systems, Industrial, Aeronautical, Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college.

- Technical writing experience

- Basic knowledge of systems engineering concepts
Desired Skills:
- Experience with data tools or programming languages such as Tableau, SQL, Python, etc.

- Basic knowledge of systems engineering concepts

- Experience with stakeholder/customer relationship management

- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and an ability to think critically in a high tempo customer-centered environment.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.

- Ability to understand and analyze data and metrics as well as conduct root cause analysis and propose corrective actions.

- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances for certain projects.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
