Schedule: Monday through Friday, Dayshift

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in the development of the capital budget, prepare capital appropriation request, and define cost/benefit relationship justification. Develop-design-specifications secure bids/write request and submit. Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of facility, equipment, workflow, process methods, work force utilization and workplace safety.

Execute Approved Projects:

  • Obtains competitive quotes
  • Initiates purchase request
  • Oversees all contractors
  • Verifies proper installation
  • Ensures contractors follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Supervises/Schedules and assigns work to meet completion date.
  • Maintains project within budget

Manufacturing Support:

  • Designs equipment and modifications
  • Plans area layout and re-arrangements
  • Works with department Managers/Supervisors to identify and recommend new methods to improve organizational performances.
  • Ensures compliance with State, Federal and Local authorities

Plant Maintenance:

  • Responsible for all utilities both usage and billing
  • Improve efficiency of all facility related equipment
  • General building maintenance and upgrades
  • Supervises, coordinates and reviews the work of a staff of engineers, design draftspersons, contract personnel, and Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 years experience in related field.
  • 5 years experience in Team Leadership responsibilities.
  • 5 years experience with automation and robotics integration.
  • 5 years experience with programmable logic controllers.
  • 5 years experience with web based or remote machine control and monitoring systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate in CAD/Excel/Microsoft Word.
  • Professional Engineering registration is desired.
  • American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Society of Manufacturing Engineers membership is desired.
