Job Description 1

Schedule: Monday through Friday, Dayshift

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in the development of the capital budget, prepare capital appropriation request, and define cost/benefit relationship justification. Develop-design-specifications secure bids/write request and submit. Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of facility, equipment, workflow, process methods, work force utilization and workplace safety.

Execute Approved Projects:

Obtains competitive quotes
Initiates purchase request
Oversees all contractors
Verifies proper installation
Ensures contractors follow all safety rules and regulations
Supervises/Schedules and assigns work to meet completion date.
Maintains project within budget

Manufacturing Support:

Designs equipment and modifications
Plans area layout and re-arrangements
Works with department Managers/Supervisors to identify and recommend new methods to improve organizational performances.
Ensures compliance with State, Federal and Local authorities

Plant Maintenance:

Responsible for all utilities both usage and billing
Improve efficiency of all facility related equipment
General building maintenance and upgrades
Supervises, coordinates and reviews the work of a staff of engineers, design draftspersons, contract personnel, and Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
5 years experience in related field.
5 years experience in Team Leadership responsibilities.
5 years experience with automation and robotics integration.
5 years experience with programmable logic controllers.
5 years experience with web based or remote machine control and monitoring systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literate in CAD/Excel/Microsoft Word.
Professional Engineering registration is desired.
American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Society of Manufacturing Engineers membership is desired.
