Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Facilities Plant Maintenance Specialist to support the Advanced Composites Center in Hazelwood, MO! The Aerospace Composites Center has state-of-the-art enabled capabilities and operates to support Boeing’s Fighter Programs.
The Facilities Plant Maintenance Specialist will handle all preventive maintenance planning and scheduling for the site as they implement a new robust maintenance system at ACC called Maximo. The system tracks all scheduling for preventative maintenance on machines and facilities as well as scheduling / process work order tickets and data analytics tied to work order completion and machine downtime for the maintenance department.
Position Responsibilities:
- Follow an established preventive maintenance program to repair and maintain plant and office facilities
- Support internal customers by responding to repair calls and resolving problems using appropriate equipment and procedures
- Develop equipment specifications and evaluate product capabilities to meet customer requirements
- May include performing facilities construction and repair tasks such as painting, carpentry, sheet metal fabrication and drywall
- Complete installations and repairs that may involve such skills as electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing
- Using assorted tools and equipment, they construct, renovate and maintain facilities in compliance with safety, building, security and environmental codes and regulations
- General knowledge of building codes, regulations and safety procedures
- With limited supervision, commercial office space by providing overall construction capabilities
- Is familiar with building codes and is able to read more complex blueprints
- Responds to trouble calls and resolves a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
- Repairs and maintains plant and office facilities equipment and demonstrates advanced skill level in these areas
- Is able to interpret basic schematics and diagrams
- May provide guidance to less experienced employees
- Under general guidance, reviews customer requirements and may evaluate product capabilities
- Has demonstrated ability to use a variety of hand and power tools to construct, renovate and repair facilities and equipment
- May receive specialized equipment training
- May provide training to peers and/or customers on the general use of equipment
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience working with detailed work instructions or reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
- Experience performing plant and/or production equipment maintenance
- Experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience using Maximo or other Computerized Maintenance Software Systems
- Experience with AutoCAD or a similar CAD package
- Experience working in a fast-paced customer service related environment, with the ability to quickly respond to trouble calls and resolve a variety of problems

Summary pay range: $56,950 - $77,050 USD
