The Boeing Company is looking for an Onboard Performance Tool Manager to join the Boeing Global Services Engineering team.
This role will lead the team responsible for the engineering design, development, deployment and support of our Onboard Performance Tool (OPT) including application integration.
This product is used in the daily operations of our global customers to enable their safe, efficient and sustainable operations. Join us in powering the progress of global aerospace!
Position Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the Aero performance leader for Onboard Performance Tool
- Lead and inspire team of Aero performance Engineers; focus on career development, robust talent pipeline, creating and guiding challenging and exciting development plans and full utilization of network across the Enterprise
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Provide insight, innovation and technical design strategies for growth in Flight Performance and Sustainability in BGS / BCA Product Development
- Partner with Product Management to establish and deliver on commitments and provide insight and innovation to inform product roadmaps
- Partner with Software Engineering to ensure approach in developing world-class software applications and services
- Collaborate with BCA Flight Sciences and BCA Flight Operations Engineering on required enabling airplane performance software, databases and operational materials.
- Maintain engineering resource baseline and coordinate with other functions to ensure staffing to plan
- Continuously enhance product quality and safety and drive operational excellence
- Invest in and develop the team
- Own the performance-to-plan and communication with Enterprise stakeholders and customers
- Effectively establish and maintain engineering processes, methods and standards to meet product commitments.
- Provide technical customer support to over 300 customers
- Support customer and industry engagements; provide technical sales support
- Drive BGS Engineering Initiatives – including Design Practices, Technical Design Reviews, Quality Improvement Plans
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 3+ years of experience leading technical or engineering teams
- Able to travel both domestically and internationally
- 5+ years of engineering or related experience
- 5+ years of experience building relationships, communicating and partnering with customers and all levels of employees, including executives.
- Prior Aerospace experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Flight performance SCAP databases and calculation modules
- 2+ years of experience in Flight Sciences, Airplane Performance and/or Flight Operations
- Experience with Design Practices and Technical Design Reviews
- Experience with software application development and deployment

Summary pay range: $153,000 - $207,000
