Flight Simulation Test-Engineer (d/f/m)

Our department develops top notch, high fidelity Engineering and Training Simulations for a variety of aircrafts, supporting the entire development lifecycle. We are looking for a test engineer for the development of flight simulators. In the first project you will be working on the military software package of the A400M Full Flight Simulator (FFS). Your work will be focused on the development and execution of system and operational tests on our test-rig, the full flight simulator and procedure trainer. This project is within an international environment and requires close collaboration and coordination with colleagues from other countries and partner companies, as well as regular travel within Europe.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Analysis of requirements, use cases and aircraft documentation
• Development of low level and high-level (end-to-end) system tests
• Execution of tests on test-rigs and target simulators and creation of test reports
• Reporting of identified issues and testing of corrected software
• Support of customer acceptance testing

Desired skills and qualifications

• Bachelor or higher degree in computer science, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering or a related discipline
• Several years of experience in working in a project team in the development of complex technical system
• Experience with scripting languages, such as bash, python. C&43;&43; experience would be beneficial
• Fluent in English, willingness to travel and appetite for learning to understand complex systems
• Previous pilot experience, aeronautical background and/or experience with mission systems would be a plus
