Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Flight Test Data Processing Manager. In this role, you will lead a team of data processing engineers that are responsible for all aspects of design, development, implementation, system administration, and data operations for assigned programs in Palmdale for the Advanced Development Programs, also known as, “the Skunkworks™”.

In addition to leading the team, you will work alongside team members as a data processing engineer to ensure all assigned programs are successfully supported.

The candidate must have the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of engineers. The candidate must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and be able to work independently. Must be willing to work extended hours, weekends, and rotations in support of mission goals. Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

A level 5 employee Typically has 14 - 20 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Data Science, Data Mining, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience working in flight test.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Active Secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with data mining or data production software
• Experience with software development or scripting.
• Experience with telemetry.
• Understanding of IRIG 106 standard.
• Experience with data acquisition systems.
• Experience with Curtiss-Wright IADS (Interactive Analysis and Display System).
• Experience with communication protocols, specifically Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, Fiber Channel, IEEE-1394, CAIS Bus (Common Airborne Instrumentation System Bus), RS-485.
• Experience with server or computer workstation administration.
• Experience with test equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
• Troubleshooting experience.
• Security+ certification.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process improvement initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $118,100 - $226,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $135,800 - $256,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
