Flight Test Engineer Intern M/F

Job Description:

SUMMARY : The Flight Test Engineer intern is a member of the CFM/LEAP-1C Engineering Team on-site Shanghai. He/She is involved in the support provided by CFM/Safran Aircraft Engines to the cutomer COMAC to enable the good execution of the Flight Test Plan of the 919.

Description of the mission :

tTechnical interface with COMAC on Engine and Intergrated Propulsive System (IPS).
tEnsure that IPS configuration is proper for the test.
tParticipation to Preparation, Analysis, Technical validation acitivities and associated meetings before and after flights.
tMonitoring of all relevant parameters during flight and ground tests.
tOn-board monitoring during the flights for specific engines operations or upon COMAC request.
tAssistance and Management of other involved Flight Test teams when required by Flight Test Manager.
tReport statistics of tests in systems in a timely manner: operating hous, flight hours, cycles, etc…
tSolving issues encoutered after flight, in close team working with on-site maintenance team and home base engineering to ensure continuous airworthiness of the IPS.
tDocument all actions applied to IPS to internal and COMACs systems.

Job Requirements:

Activities/knowledge:
\tLooking for a student speaking both French/English and Chinese
\tInterface with COMAC's teams: engineering, Flight Test, Maintenance, etc…
\tInterface with CFM's teams: Design office, Engine Tests, Maintenance, other aircraft Flight Tests, etc…
\tFlight Test regular reporting to management, CFM, and partners
\tConstruction and orientation of Flight Test plans for IPS related operations
\tPresentation of workgroup reports solving issues to COMAS's integration team and managers
\tParticipation to regular calls with distant teams (France, US) relative to Flight Tests
\tKnowledge of engine and IPS behavior, technical limits
\tKnowledge of relevant documentation, procedures, quality process, and all useful systems
\tDraft, submit and get approval for Service Instructions and General Procedures to support Flight Test operations (FTSI & FTGP's)
