As a member of the ZEROe project, you will join a team of highly motivated and valuable people who are involved in aircraft concept exploration, technologies development, next generation industrial system and future hydrogen ecosystem preparation that will shape the development of our ZEROe

aircraft.

We are looking for a talented candidate who can reinforce our Fuel Cell System development team by bringing experience in the field of fuel cell systems and the respective verification through experimental testing on systems and component level. The candidate also makes the difference through proven interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Your Accountabilities

As part of Airbus and to accelerate the development of a ZEROe aviation, you will drive the testing based verification of fuel cell systems and balance of plant components. This ranges from defining the test needs, specifying the appropriate system or component tests, supporting the test execution team and/or external partners as well as analyzing the test results and drawing the proper conclusions.

Your Main Responsibilities

As such

  • You will contribute with your fuel cell system knowhow to design, size and optimize fuel cell systems and related components with a focus on system verification.

  • You will contribute to the verification approach and refine and extend the system test strategy 

  • You will define the specific test cases and support the respective test execution with your system knowhow.

  • You will verify the system and component function and performance with test result data analysis and evaluation and identify ways forward in case on non-compliances including the respective documentation activities.

  • You will act as an interface between the system testing and the test data based model and simulation activities. 

  • You will lead activities with internal and external partners including international collaboration with suppliers and with the academic world.

Whom Are We Looking For

Because ZEROe is preparing the future of aviation, we look for a highly skilled and passionate colleague, able to bring your energy and expertise into the Airbus engineering universe.

As such 

  • You have a degree in engineering, science or equivalent combined with several years of professional experience in the development and/or testing of fuel cell systems, fuel cell stacks or related components.

  • You bring strong competencies in thermo-dynamics and/or fluid-dynamics.

  • Ideally you have first experiences in the research & technology sector as well as in project management.

  • You are a proactive and highly motivated person with a great sense of initiative and the ability to manage confidential topics.

  • You show strong communication, interpersonal and networking skills.

  • You have the willingness to travel within Europe and overseas. 

  • Your English is at a negotiating level, additional language skills in French / German / Spanish are considered a plus.
