Summary

We are looking for an eager individual to learn while assisting with a multitude of tasks in our Computer Tools, Computer Systems, and Integration Specialist groups, as well as others. Tasks will include, but not be limited to, providing technical support to senior level engineers in design, test, documentation, and implementation, as well as installation and integration of software packages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering tasks including writing, Bill of Materials, high level design, Office software, updating drawings and documentation.
  • Gather data and prepare reports, as necessary.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to Engineering department.
  • Assist Lead System Engineers, Systems Engineers/System Architects (SA), when needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited Bachelors degree (or higher level) college/university program majoring in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and in your junior year or higher
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Must be willing to learn new procedures and applications
  • Must have good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be customer service-oriented
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with C++, C, or Python programming languages
  • Experience with personal projects such as building computers, setting up a network, etc.
  • Familiarity with design and documentation of Computer and Networking Systems
  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

Security Responsibilities

Must complyu202Fwith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.u202F Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.u202F All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

  • May be required to be in a sitting position for long lengths of time.
  • Must be able to climb stairs to enter and exit a simulator
  • Must be able to support rack mounted equipment (Up to 7 feet off the group)
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely used standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
