Contract Position
$55.70-$60.70/Hour
Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of electrical wiring harnesses for next-generation ground combat vehicles.
Select appropriate components including connectors, backshells, sealants, boots, transitions, sleeving, and braiding.
Determine harness layout and routing paths, including multi-branch configurations, throughout the vehicle.
Ensure designs meet environmental specifications for temperature, vibration, shock, submersion, and chemical exposure.
Utilize Capital Harness System (CHS) software (Harness XC, Capital Logic, Capital Topology) to model and document designs.
Collaborate with CAD drafters using Pro-E Creo and NX to route harnesses and generate engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
Partner with systems engineering to define vehicle-wide pin-level interconnects.
Work with physical architecture teams to define routing channels and space allocations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of post-graduate experience in electrical harness design or a related engineering discipline.
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law.
Must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance if required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Capital Harness System (CHS) software including Harness XC, Capital Logic, and Capital Topology.
Experience with 3D CAD tools, particularly Pro-E Creo and Siemens NX.
Familiarity with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience working in a military or ground combat vehicle environment.
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekends as required.
