Come join the RMS Operations team for a
chance to develop the factory of the future. You
will have the opportunity to improve on the
world class metal machining, electronics
assembly, and printed wiring board fabrication
operations at the Owego, NY facility. We are
looking for a motivated Industrial Engineer who will help
us along our journey to take our operations to
the next level.

Your primary responsibilities will be to analyze
and design sequence of operations and work
flow to improve efficiencies in plant and
production facilities and equipment layouts; and to establish methods for maximum utilization of
production facilities and personnel. You will
conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost
reduction, inventory control, and production
record systems. On the basis of these studies,
you will develop and implement plans and
programs for facility modifications and revisions
to operating methods. You will utilize simulation
software and data analysis tools to identify opportunities and measure the impact of suggested changes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Industrial Engineering Bachelors degree from
an accredited college
- 2+ years of relevant IE work experience
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles
- Experience using data analytics tools like Tableau and Alteryx
- Effective communication
- Problem solving skills
- Must be able to work alone or as a team
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret
security clearance once in role if required
Desired Skills:
- Experience applying and implementing lean
manufacturing principles in a production system
- Familiar with capacity analysis of manufacturing areas
- Exposure to manufacturing execution systems (MES)
- Manufacturing simulation experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $74,700 - $143,100 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $85,900 - $161,900. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
