Intern - Airworthiness Engineer – Repair approval

Job Description:

The intern will be part of the Airworthiness & Certification - Services team based in Airbus India office in Bengaluru and will be responsible for doing Airworthiness checks on In-Service repairs.

Airworthiness & Certification - Services team consists of DAE/CVE signatories who exercise the Repair approval legal privileges granted by EASA to Airbus in full compliance with Part 21 and Design organization Approval requirements, maintaining the Airbus privileges for repair design approval, ensuring on time approval for the continued satisfaction of our customers.

Working on all the structural ATAs – Nose to Tail, wingtip to wingtip – the intern will be exposed to various structural elements in the Airframe, loading conditions, design principles and their justification for certification along with the In-service issues resulting from Fatigue damage, environmental conditions or accidental damage. Liaising with the DAE/CVE signatory delegates in the team, the intern will contribute to the approval of Repair and Design Approval Form, by checking the documentation and preparing the checklist.

Training will be provided.

Required Education / Skills:

• B.Tech./M.Tech.in Aerospace, Mechanical
• Basic aerospace domain knowledge
• Sound understanding of Strength of Materials, stress analysis and Fatigue & Damage Tolerance concepts.
• Capacity to understanding integrated design, airworthiness and maintenance & operations of an aircraft.
• Ability to be a good team player.
• Problem-solving approach
• Ability to work with minimal supervision & in a transnational environment
• Ability to communicate effectively (oral, writing & presentation)
• Flexibility & adaptability
• Ability to accept responsibility of task and grow towards signature delegation.
