Our team…
The Advanced Design group leads the conceptual studies and preliminary design development of all new products at Bombardier. The team is also heavily involved in research projects covering various new technologies that will shape the future of aerospace.
During your internship, you will contribute to:
• Researching, understanding, and developing aircraft mass properties models and tools.
• Enhancing existing mass properties processes and methodologies.
• Helping generate aircraft mass properties analyses.
During your internship, you will learn:
• The importance of mass properties to the design of new aircraft products
• To use different programming languages and development environments
• How to participate in the early phases of the development of new aircraft concepts
• To work as a cohesive team with experts in mass properties and from different technical disciplines
What we are looking for:
• You are currently enrolled in a university level aerospace engineering program
• You are knowledgeable in aircraft structures, systems, and mass properties.
• You are well versed in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
• You have experience with modern programming languages (e.g. Python)
• Experience with Catia V5, Siemens NX and/or Siemens AmeSim are strong assets, as are knowledge of parametric modeling, and VBA and macro programing.
