Java Software Engineer

We are recruiting Software Engineers for contract positions with a client that delivers a state of the art Sonar capability for UK and International Navies.

They seek Software Engineers who understand the full software lifecycle and are happy to get into documenting requirements / design and testing. Also integrating 3^rd party software.

This is based in Crawley, West Sussex – fully onsite

Skills / Proven Ability

• Java Software language
• Understanding of Full Software lifecycle
• Good knowledge of Linux / git
• Good knowledge of Jenkins / Maven
• Working with large scale software
• Understanding the need for documentation to support Software projects
• Integrating 3^rd party Software

Desirable

• Working knowledge of C++ for understanding code
• Understanding of Apache Ant
• Understanding of defence / highly documented Software projects
• Networking knowledge

Additional

We seek a Software Engineer who has worked in a military / defence environment / industry within the last 12 months or who is capable of obtaining security clearance (SC level minimum)
