Qualifications:
- Consideration will be given to those with 12+3 or equivalent in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Specialization or electives in a Data & Analytics field (e.g. Data Warehousing, Data Science, Business Intelligence) a nice-to-have
Experience:
· 3 months to 1-year experience in one or more Data Engineering functions using (but not limited to) Big Data, Data Modelling, Data Warehouse, Reporting and DevOps.
· 3 to 6 Months of experience working with cloud-based solutions.
· Exposure to coding pipelines that handle massive quantities of data, securely and in a timely fashion – nice to have
· Rudimentary understanding of modern data architecture & technology roadmap - nice to have
· Ability to learn and apply unit testing
· Certification in Data Engineering - nice to have
Knowledge/Skills:
· Exposure to conducting data analysis (e.g. data dictionary/metadata collection, data profiling, source-to-target mapping) is preferred
· Operates with a “You Code It, You Own It” mindset (i.e. supports the products they build)
· Should be an exceptional team player; able to collaborate with others to acquire knowledge, remove blockers, conduct unit testing, carry out peer code reviews of own code, timely close of quality defects promptly.
· Follow agile development practices, and should be a good participant in all ceremonies.
· Able to deliver solutions (and associated value) interactively
· Is accountable and displays a positive attitude
· Self-starter and has a passion for exploring and learning new technologies, especially those in the Enterprise Data & Analytics space.
