Role Summary

We’re seeking a seasoned ML and Backend Developer with 5–8 years of experience to design, build, and scale robust server-side systems. You will own backend services end-to-end—from architecture and APIs to data models, performance tuning, observability, and security—while collaborating closely with product, frontend, QA, DevOps, and data teams.

Required Skills

• 5–8 years of professional experience building and operating backend systems at scale.
• 2-3 years of professional experience as an ML engineer embedding ML models in large scale applications at production scale.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals (consistency, partitioning, concurrency, idempotency).
• Solid grasp of API design principles, versioning, pagination, error handling, and backward compatibility.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Relational and non-relational databases, indexing, query optimization, and transactions.
• Message queues/streams, job schedulers, and asynchronous processing.
• Caching strategies (in-memory, edge, application-level) and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with containerization, orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud deployment concepts.
• Experience implementing secure coding practices and access controls.
• Proficiency with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to mentor junior engineers.
• Exposure to LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, concepts around chunking, RAG preferred

Preferred Experience

• Microservice patterns where applicable.
• Feature flags, canary releases, and blue/green deployments.
• Domain-driven design and modular monolith to microservices transition experience.
• Data pipelines for analytics/ML integration and batch/stream processing.
