Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Be part of a team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance within Honeywell Electronic Solutions located in Olathe, KS. You will be the technical leader and be a primary decision maker and driving strategy for new product development and technical issues. You will lead prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive overall program performance.

Use your advanced knowledge of manufacturing engineering fundamentals to help Honeywell Aerospace deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under general supervision and alongside some of the worlds most talented engineers. You will influence the development of Honeywells next generation of navigation products supporting new products from concept development through the start of production for manufacturing cost, yield, and schedule execution. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who support current product value engineering and the optimization of the manufacturing process while providing work direction and mentoring to more junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with various functional teams
  • Prepare or update reports and documentation
  • Use analytical tools and theories
  • Plan, lead and execute projects as the focal for all things manufacturing
  • Identify issues and trends, analyze, and drive actions to resolve barriers
  • Drive actions to incorporate improvements from legacy product yield and escape defects
  • Develop new techniques and analytical tools
  • Implement production
  • Analyze product cost and drive actions to meet cost target
  • Participate in early supplier engagement and drive supplier feedback into design
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify and drive strategy changes
  • Provide work direction and mentor junior engineers

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 5+ Years of manufacturing engineering experience
WE VALUE
  • Knowledge/Experience with printed board assembly processes and troubleshooting
  • Strong management operating system that facilitates communication
  • Significant relevant manufacturing engineering experience
  • Application of advanced engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Identify and mentor departmental core competencies for continuous skill development.
  • Understanding of business objectives and more importantly the ability to interact with customers and suppliers
  • Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives.
  • Persuade to influence others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
  • Knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application within the industry
