Job Description:

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our Aerospace business unit by providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of our engineering processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and implement best practices. Your attention to detail and ability to solve complex problems will be instrumental in meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Qualification test support for avionics products such as Modular Radio Controller (MRC), Weather Radar 4000/7000, AESU, and TXD
  • Learn functional theory of operation for RDR4000/7000, AESU, TXD
  • Become familiar with legacy Honeywell radio products such as DME, VDR, VIDL-G, XPDR, ADF, NIM
  • Willing to learn how to evaluate Minimum Operational Performance Standards (MOPS)
  • Troubleshoot test setups when encountering unexpected test results
  • Work closely with Qualification Engineers on ambitious test schedules

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 8 years of technical experience as an Engineering Technician or a related role.
  • High school diploma

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Experience with DO-160 and Mil-STD environmental requirements
  • Experience evaluating Minimum Operational Performance Standards (MOPS) such as DO-181, DO-185, DO-220, or DO-283
  • Knowledge of the systems development lifecycle
  • Procedure and report-writing experience
  • Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts
  • Working with diverse and global team
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project needs
  • Multi-tasking, with the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks
  • Making autonomous decisions if warranted
