Currently, we are looking for several Lead Engineers in the Stress Analysis area. In this role you will have an opportunity to support Mechanical Design teams in activities related to new advanced technology projects for jet engines. Additionally, the position will involve analytical support of design teams in activities related to New Product Introduction programs, manufacturing, field support, cost-out and repair projects. You will work on multiple module components and testing hardware development. Also, there will be an opportunity to support development of new tools and procedures improving mechanical analysis. You will utilize your experience and expertise to identify problems, find solutions and to demonstrate mechanical design as well as stress analysis skills.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Execute the analysis (structural Finite Element Analysis, hand calculations).
  • Recommend approach to meet the technical and program requirements.
  • Implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments.
  • Participate as a presenter in technical reviews.
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated to substantiate analyzed components, assemblies and/or systems consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and effectively communicate projects status, issues and significant developments.

Requirements:

  • MSc/BSc in Engineering
  • Experience as design engineer, FE analyst
  • Knowledge of disciplines like numerical methods (especially strong understanding of Finite element Methods principles).
  • Understanding of the design and analysis tools relevant to the function.
  • General knowledge of the engine architecture.
  • Experience with commercial CAD/CAE package required (ANSYS, Hypermesh, NX).
  • Advanced FEA skills especially in ANSYS
  • English
