Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in Syracuse, NY for an astute systems engineering professional.

Our Radar Line of business is looking for an experienced systems engineer that has the confidence to solve a wide range of difficult problems. This candidate is the Systems Engineering Senior Staff responsible for leading system engineering from architecture and design through implementation, integration, and system sell-off across various programs within the Ground Based Air Surveillance (GBAS) radar system portfolio. We are looking for an individual that is imaginative, thorough, practical, and have a can-do attitude in a diverse and challenging environment. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of system engineering on radar programs including architecture design, requirements, interface definition, system validation and verification and system sell-off. The selected candidate must possess a strong subject matter expertise in ground-based radar systems through all phases of the system lifecycle. The selected candidate will possess a strong subject matter expertise in related disciplines including hardware design and development and software development processes. The candidate will drive technical execution of Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in GBAS market segment while ensuring that cost and schedule objectives are met.

This Position is responsible for:

1) Leading Product-Line Systems Engineering Team
a. System Architecture
b. System Requirements Development, Decomposition, and Maintenance
c. System Performance Analysis
d. Requirements Trace Verification Matrix (RTVM)
e. Systems Product-line Coordination across all GBAS Programs
f. Cross Functional Coordination
g. Program & Product-line Cost, Schedule, Technical and Risk Management
h. System Scope Proposal Development

The Candidate will be required to work at all Syracuse facilities, including Liverpool, Cazenovia, and local offices.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with the following:
• RADAR Development Experience
• 5 years of Leadership Experience
• System Requirements Development, Decomposition, and Maintenance
• System Architecture and Design
• Basic Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering
• CAM/Earn Value Experience
• Proposal Development, with scope over $10M
• Configuration Management
• DOORS or similar Requirements Management tool
• Risk Management


Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

Ability to obtain a US DOD Secrete clearance.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $118,100 - $226,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $135,800 - $256,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
