A vacancy for a LifeSaver Software Engineer or Data Scientist Working Student / Intern (d/f/m) in the Urban Air Mobility team has arisen in Donauwörth and/or Munich.

LifeSaver is an Airbus innovation program that combines advanced technology with human expertise to help governments better manage their emergency medical services and save more lives. It’s a highly complex environment on ground, water and in the air, bringing together aviation and medical professionals across Airbus and partner organizations.
In order to support the LifeSaver Program, AUM is constantly looking for top-notch student interns who are willing to drive a meaningful software project from start to finish. Some of the topics we are interested in are geospatial analytics, agent-based simulation systems or digital twins - but setting up data processing platforms or improving DevOps for our distributed teams is just as important. Your Role
You will be part of the LifeSaver team within the start-up like entity Airbus Urban Mobility GmbH. AUM GmbH has been set up as the central entrepreneur of the UAM organization within the Group and acts as the program for the eVTOL development as well as the system integrator for UAM. In that context, it covers the pillars vehicle, take-off & landing infrastructure and (unmanned) traffic management to prepare the integration in cities and future commercial passenger operations.
In your role you will be in charge of the following main activities:
You will take a dedicated software project / application from design to deployment
Collaborate with the team, our partners and customers to understand and solve real operational challenges
Write, test and document high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development and provide recommendations and guidance to the team
Your Qualifications and Skills
We expect you to have the following qualifications:
Pursuing Master’s or Bachelor&39;s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
Programming experience in Python, Java or JavaScript
In addition, you have first experience in a specific technology or topic, such as, for example, geospatial data analytics and visualization (knowledge of deck.gl a plus), agent-based simulation, accessing REST APIs, querying databases, designing data processing pipelines and working with microservices architectures in general, or you can help us define first use cases for ML/AI
Strong team player who is willing to work in a very diverse and international startup environment
French, German or Spanish are a plus
