Summary
CAE USA is seeking a highly motivated logistics sustainment engineer to join our Logistics Engineering team. This role is critical to establishing lifecycle logistics processes, provisioning strategies, and sustainment infrastructure with focus on reliability, maintainability, obsolescence management that ensures supportability, readiness, and lifecycle sustainment for all CAE USA training devices. The logistics sustainment engineer will leverage a strong background in engineering and field support to maximize product supportability from the design through sustainment phases. The logistics sustainment engineer will support continuous reliability, maintainability, and obsolescence improvement initiatives in engineering and operations. The sustainment engineer will work closely with engineering, program management, parts management, and purchasing teams to align logistics deliverables with program objectives and customer requirements.

As a Logistics Sustainment Engineer, you will lead or contribute to the following areas:
Obsolescence Management & Operational Readiness
Reliability and Maintainability
Verify that parts, materials, and processes meet system requirements through the use of a management plan detailing reliability risk considerations and evaluation strategies for the intended service life.
Field Reliability & Sustainment
Understanding of sustainment readiness metrics (MTBF, MTTR, uptime, service responsiveness) and how they gauge system performance and efficiency
Cross-Functional Engineering Collaboration
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or systems engineering. Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive engineering experience in roles such as Reliability Engineer, Field Support Engineer, Sustainment Engineer, Hardware Reliability Manager, or related positions
Preferred Skills
Proficiency in software tools including SLICwave, OPUS, Windchill Risk and Reliability, or equivalent reliability software.
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper spaning and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Candidates must be able to perform challenging physical labor for the duration of a shift. This includes standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, crouching, crawling into tight spaces, and working at heights. Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds from the floor. Candidates must be able to work at heights with use of fall protection.
