Summary:
Evaluate and qualify electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components for use in aerospace assemblies.
Support subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with Boeing requirements and applicable specifications.
Apply experience with harsh environment/high-reliability design, including aerospace, medical device, automotive, or industrial applications.
Utilize knowledge of connectors, wiring, and cable fabrication, including cable/harness installation and integration.
Provide engineering support for new product development and legacy programs, recommending appropriate alternate components.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance (not required to start)
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry and 9+ years of related experience (or equivalent: Masters + 7 years, PhD + 4 years).
Electrical design and/or testing experience with components, wiring harnesses, connectors, and cables.
5+ years of hands-on experience in wiring design, cables, and connectors as a primary responsibility.
Experience in military aerospace disciplines (defense contractor or military background), especially Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS).
Strong familiarity with military and aerospace electrical specifications (MIL-SPECs).
Understanding of aircraft and weapons systems to recommend appropriate alternate electrical components.
