Role Summary
* In this role, you will support the employer by applying engineering expertise in electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components to evaluate parts used in assemblies and subassemblies. You will collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with requirements, support high-reliability design environments, and contribute to development and qualification activities for complex aerospace systems. You will support ongoing programs requiring strong technical judgment, documentation accuracy, and adherence to standards. Education & Job Requirements You must have:
* A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or a related technical discipline from an accredited course of study.
* A minimum of 9 years of related engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Electrical design and/or test experience with electrical components, wiring harnesses, connectors, and cables.
* Specific experience in a military aerospace discipline, either as a defense contractor or as a former military, particularly in Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS).
* Experience with military electronics in areas directly related to electrical components, wiring, cables, or related processes.
* Extensive experience with electrical military specifications and aerospace industry specifications relevant to daily engineering activities.
* Deep experience with wiring design, cables, and connectors, including a minimum of 5 years where these tasks were a primary responsibility.
* Understanding of aircraft and weapons system requirements to recommend correct alternate electrical components for both new development and legacy programs. Preferred Skills You will have:
* Experience using project management tools to support cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives.
* Ability to incorporate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), LEAN, and quality principles into materials, processes, procedures, and qualification testing.
* Experience supporting the development of work statements, strategic planning, and providing technical consultation while keeping leadership informed.
* Significant experience with military or industry specifications in support of materials and processes engineering activities. Job Duties & Functions You will be:
* Applying engineering knowledge of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components to evaluate parts for repair, design, assembly, and subassembly usage.
* Supporting subcontractors and suppliers to ensure their components meet requirements and comply with the Parts Management Plan.
* Working within harsh-environment and high-reliability design settings, including aerospace, medical, industrial, or automotive applications.
* Applying experience with connectors, wires, and cables, including cable fabrication, bundle construction, and harness installation.
* Supporting qualification, documentation, and review activities for electrical components used in aerospace applications.
* Communicating with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and program alignment.
