The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an MQ-25 Advanced Payloads Engineer – Senior/Lead (Level 4/5) to support the MQ-25 Advanced Team located in Hazelwood, MO.

The Advanced Payloads Engineer will lead the studies, architecture, integration, and maturation of various advanced payloads into the air system. The MQ-25 Program is the future of autonomous aircraft carrier aviation for the US Navy!

This position will report to the MQ-25 Advanced Chief Engineer.  The successful candidate will be part of our MQ-25 Advanced Team, leading the Advanced Payloads organization, working across both software and hardware integration capabilities aligned with our program growth strategies.  The successful candidate will offer leadership and subject matter expertise across one or more of the following areas:

  • Payloads Integration, Simulation, and Test

  • Stores Management & Control Systems

  • Weapons Integration

  • Electronic Warfare (EW)

  • Electronic Attack (EA)

  • Electronic Support Measures (ESM)

  • Infrared Search & Track (IRST)

  • Electro-Optical & Infrared Sensors (EO/IR)

  • This dynamic role will work with empowered teams in a collaborative environment with other IPTs and the US Navy customer.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative technical execution of projects across program & capability teams

  • Technology readiness level (TRL) development and maturation plan execution

  • Understand customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance

  • Performs analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture

  • Integrates technical parameters and assures compatibility of physical, functional, and program interfaces

  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Travel may be required up to 10 of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Possess a Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry

  • Experience with Mission Systems integration

  • Experience with Air Vehicle Systems

  • Experience with systems engineering and integration of complex systems

  • Experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of engineering experience with autonomous aircraft platforms

  • 5+ years of experience with advanced payloads integration

Typical Education/Experience:

Senior Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Lead Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years related work experience, Master+12 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for Senior (Level 4):  $119,850 - $162,150

Summary pay range for Lead (Level 5):  $143,650 - $194,350
