Description:Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is looking for an energetic Full Spectrum Leader. This position is for an Engineering Mid-level Leader (MLL), who will be part of the RMS Valley Forge Engineering & Technology (E&T) organization, specifically responsible for the Enterprise Solutions organization and its collection of programs. These programs s reside in the C4ISR Market Segment and primarily focus on the USAF Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) mission.
Selected candidate will be responsible for functionally leading their organization, consisting of multiple First Line Managers (FLMs), as well as direct reports (~15 direct reports (including FLMs), with a total org size of ~50 employees). As an MLL, you will have an immediate impact in shaping the organization’s future and establishing its vision. This is an opportunity lead a dynamic team. By drawing upon previous leadership experience and your own technical expertise, you will help your team overcome challenges and build the organizational talent to solve the challenges of the future.

Selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Selected candidate will be involved in all aspects of functional, programmatic and technical coordination and execution of the programs supported under this Mission Area. This includes managing content across multiple agile development teams, staffing across the engaging with the customer regularly, and supporting the E&T Site Lead, EPM, Chief’s Office, and PMO in day to day program execution. Selected candidate will be responsible for managing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. In addition to this functional role, selected candidate will also be expected to perform a technical leadership role within the organization and/or JASSM portfolio.

In this role you will:
• Coach and oversee group and individual development using technical leadership and performance management
• Ensure efforts are effectively staffed and that personnel are fully engaged and committed to program success
• Maintain awareness, engagement and communication of critical issues and their reach across programs
• Lead and execute strategic initiatives to improve cost, schedule, and technical performance

• Experience coordinating work and personnel across multiple work locations and organizational structures
• A highly motivated individual able to form effective relationships within program, across the entire E&T organization, and with customer personnel
• Experience balancing multiple, competing priorities in a highly dynamic, high-tempo environment
• Ability to balance programmatic, functional, leadership, and technical tasks
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical and programmatic issues to your team, peers, management and customers
• Experience modeling Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives, ownership and accountability
• Proven skills providing technical and administrative direction to other employees

Basic Qualifications:
• Degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment
• Demonstrated experience in leadership with the ability to build effective and trusting relationships with customers, management, teammates, peers and subordinates
• Demonstrated experience effectively communicating (verbal, written and presentation) with all employee levels, senior management, internal stakeholders and external customers, etc.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience with systems or software engineering activities on real-time systems
• Must be able to assist in problem solving exploration in many disciplines/domains
• Strong and proven understanding of the Engineering development process, specifically agile development, MBE, and Test Automation
• Strong process focus with ability to recognize opportunities for improvement and drive required changes
• Ability to multi-task, outstanding effective communication skills, and a strong track record of team-building
Desired Skills:
• Prior experience with the JASSM domain and/or Enterprise Solutions program (e.g., JEMS, ORCA)
• Prior experience and/or knowledge of the C4ISR domain
• Prior technical lead/project management experience
• CAM/EVM experience
• Experience in establishing vision and strategy for an organization/team
• Experience in integrating complex information and summarizing to management via email or presentations

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
