• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
• Five (5) years of relevant aerospace engineering experience
• Familiar with Federal Aviation Regulations governing aircraft and engine certification.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers
• Must be able to provide on-call off-hours support to Technical Operations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Masters Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
• Powerplant engineering / engine fleet management experience
• Leadership experience of an Engineering team
• Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations Parts 21, 25, 33
• Experience with aircraft engines, powerplant and engine health monitoring
• Able to communicate technical issues in an assertive and tactful manner
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
• Knowledgeable and comfortable with AI tools for work functions
• Computer literate with Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
• Familiarity with TRAX

• Ability to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
• Able to maintain a professional appearance
• When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation

• The base pay range for this position is between $90,000.00 and $150,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
