Role Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer utilizes expertise in manufacturing processes to support business goals and programs for aircraft engine component repair.  Requires strong foundation of functional skills and knowledge of relevant aircraft engine technologies.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develops, maintains, improves manufacturing processes.
  • Creates, maintains manufacturing processes, equipment, and manufacturing process instructions to ensure process control, stability, and conformance.
  • Responsible for improvements leading to cost reduction, productivity, and product quality.
  • Leads initiatives for process capability entitlement.
  • Leads repair industrializations aligned with repair readiness levels including tooling and planning & equipment.
  • Lead Planning & Equipment (P&E) / support
  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices in area of ownership.
  • Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a mentor for colleagues.
  • Develops new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations.
  • Works together with business leadership.
  • Specifies the need, effectively communicates the project approach, and presents outcome of research.
  • Delivers results to responsibilities as an active member of a team.
  • Works on cross functional teams and collaborates with manufacturing engineers.
  • Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
  • Investigates, develops, and applies new automated technologies.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Manufacturing)
  • Minimum of 6 years of Technical, Production Process, and Equipment
  • Able to support off shifts and weekends as needed.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT:

  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, nationals of the United States, asylees and refugees) due to access to export-controlled technology.
  • Must pass background and drug screens.
