Summary:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installations, fabrication, and material handling
Drive the adoption of advanced technologies such as automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing software to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality
Utilize 3D model data to optimize manufacturing workflows and create digital work instructions
Apply knowledge of materials and automated processes to define operational procedures and build sequences that support operational excellence
Evaluate the performance of equipment and tools, including IoT devices, to ensure efficiency and identify areas for corrective action
Leverage factory data to implement statistical process control methods and integrate data analytics and reporting tools for ongoing process improvement
Provide feedback to product design teams on design concepts and specifications to maximize the use of manufacturing equipment and techniques
Requirements:
Bachelors degree required
Please highlight any relevant sub-system aviation manufacturing planning experience.
Experience in a manufacturing environment working cross-functionally with disciplines such as industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, quality assurance, and production planning
Hands-on experience with various manufacturing processes, including fabrication, assembly, machining, and electrical, across disciplines such as composites, metallics, bonded assemblies, and installations
Prior exposure to lean manufacturing and process improvement methodologies
Experience with MRP systems, SAP, or other Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Active Secret Clearance (within the last 5 years)
Proficiency with CATIA V5
Experience in aviation manufacturing, specifically with sub-systems such as hydraulics, electrical, power, and fuel
Must have "first time build" experience for product development
Demonstrated background in manufacturing planning for sub-system aviation projects
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
