Description:Join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer, responsible for creating and improving manufacturing strategies to drive efficiency, quality, and productivity in preparation for 1LMX across MFC. Our team plays a crucial role in developing and implementing solutions for technical and organizational challenges, and this role will assist and travel to specific MFC manufacturing sites for extended periods of time prior & during the 1LMX transition. Individuals in this role will be on the forefront of change, implementing new processes, & driving continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Manufacturing Engineer, your focus will be on driving solutions, and your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering verbal and written status reports, highlighting project milestones and progress
• Communicating project risks, solutions, and schedule impacts to stakeholders
• Representing the team in programmatic reviews and status meetings
• Creating and updating work instructions, manufacturing documentation, and other shop floor documentation to support production needs
• Coordinating shop floor support as necessary to resolve technical and manufacturing issues
• Organizing discussions and approaches to Root Cause analysis of component non-conformances and ensuring implementation of effective Corrective Action
• Monitoring and reporting on quality, schedule, and cost performance of assigned projects/programs

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline
• Effective project management skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
• Experience working with cross-functional groups
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative to solve problems and issues as they arise
• Experience with data analytics
• Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action tools
• Understanding of manufacturing principles and processes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Proficient in utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
• Experience using precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment
• General understanding of industry standards and common specifications
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9000, AS 9100)
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
