Description:Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Lockheed Martin Archbald is a full-service Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) facility that provides design, manufacturing, engineering, & field service support for both domestic and international customers. Our site manufacturers many products within the Precision Guided Systems (PGS), Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) and other MFC lines of business. For over 70 years our products feature safety-critical systems for nuclear submarines, aircraft carriers, & commercial nuclear power plants while also producing air-to-ground weapon and training systems for the US Military and international allied customers.

The Locale: Archbald is located in Northeastern Pennsylvania and is part of Lackawanna County in the Blue Ridge Mountain range. The entire region is about 100 miles from both New York City and Philadelphia. Archbald is a suburb of Scranton, PA. Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Prior work experience in a fabrication environment.
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Ability to obtain a secret security clearance, therefore must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
• Experience in developing machining, welding, sheet metal, and finishing fabrication processes, fixture development/design, automation, CNC programming.
• Experience in applying lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase yields, investigate root cause of failures/defects, and implement corrective action to support continuous improvement.
• Experience in material properties.
• Proficiency/expertise in GD&T application and interpretation.
• Knowledge and/or use of manufacturing/resource system applications such as SAP, MRP, ERP, etc.
• Experience with AutoCAD, CREO, or equivalent 3D modeling applications.
• Experience in developing Basis of Estimates for proposals.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
