Job Summary: As a Manufacturing Engineer at Cirrus Aircraft, youll play a vital role in enhancing our manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving efficiency. Youll troubleshoot production issues, coordinate product launches, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. This role is based in Grand Forks, North Dakota, our main sub-assembly composite facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop efficient manufacturing processes based on product requirements, conducting research, and validating methods.
  • Design and test tools, machinery, and equipment to support manufacturing methods.
  • Coordinate the launch of new products, establishing processes and providing support to manufacturing teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Collaborate with vendors and operators to evaluate manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Implement quality control procedures to enhance product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Maintain equipment operational efficiency through maintenance and repair coordination.
  • Provide expertise in design-for-manufacturing and process capability to support future product designs.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and management to ensure project alignment and success.
  • Offer technical support for incident investigation and corrective action processes.
  • Conduct training for production and support staff, implementing standard operating procedures.
  • Mentor other engineers and technicians in best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent field.
  • 10 years in Manufacturing Environment
  • Proficiency in engineering principles and practical application.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to root cause analysis.
  • Project management skills to drive projects to completion effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex concepts.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and cost optimization.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, ERP, and MES systems preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
