Pay Rate: $32.00 – $43.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM EST
Position Summary:
Hire Aviation is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity in Clearwater, Florida. This position supports the manufacturing of advanced electronic assemblies by developing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes for circuit card assemblies (CCAs), modules, and electromechanical subassemblies.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting production operations, interpreting engineering drawings, and improving manufacturing efficiency in a high-quality production environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for circuit card assemblies (CCAs), modules, and subassemblies.
- Support production operations by collaborating with manufacturing and operations teams to resolve technical issues and improve production efficiency.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to develop manufacturing processes.
- Partner with Design Engineering to implement process improvements and optimize manufacturability.
- Design, procure, and implement tooling required to support manufacturing operations.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions and process documentation.
- Incorporate inspection and testing requirements into manufacturing plans as required.
- Evaluate machinery, equipment, and tooling to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
- Investigate manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and quality.
- Provide manufacturing expertise and recommendations during product design and development.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with applicable quality standards, engineering specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing operation.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in an electronics or aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing process development and production support.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- The following experience is highly desirable:
- Cable harness manufacturing
- Process writing and work instruction development
- Electromechanical subassembly manufacturing
- Continuous improvement initiatives
- Aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics manufacturing
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk up and down stairs throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods.
