Summary:
Operate in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installations, fabrication, processing, and material handling.
Drive the adoption of advanced technologies-such as automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing software-to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
Create and analyze 3D model data to optimize manufacturing processes and digital work instructions.
Leverage expertise in materials and automated processes to define operational procedures and build sequences that drive operational excellence.
Evaluate the performance of equipment and tools (including IoT devices) to ensure efficiency and initiating corrective actions when needed.
Utilize factory data to implement statistical process control and integrate reporting and data analytics for continuous improvement.
Provide input to product design teams regarding design concepts and specification requirements to optimize the use of equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Requirements:
Experience in a manufacturing environment working cross-functionally with disciplines such as industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, Quality Assurance, and/or production planning
Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes and procedures including fabrication, assembly, machining, and electrical-across disciplines such as composites, metallics, bonded assemblies, and/or installations
Background in lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives
Experience using MRP systems, SAP, or other Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Active Secret Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years
Program Special Access required to start
CATIA V5
Structural assembly expertise (e.g., assembly drilling, determinate assembly, MPS processes)
Aviation manufacturing experience with a focus on structural assembly planning
Varying breadth of first-time build experience (new product development)
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
